A Nice Afternoon At Picture Book Library
I have been to Nami Island many times until I feel there is nothing left for me to see there. During those times I never noticed if it was there every time I visited Nami Island. I was intending to bring my friend to go to Prayer room, then I found there was such an interesting place in Nami Island called Picture Book Library.
The Picture Book Library is a very nice place to visit, especially if you bring children to Nami Island. In a child-friendly, relaxing atmosphere, kids can immerse themselves in its outstanding book collection. For me, I felt I was becoming a part of this place once I entered this place.
I was welcomed with this nice wall full of kids’ painting. If you go further you will find a very unique art painting on the wall. A very nice spot to take a picture, right? Prepare yourself for there are more coming. It has two floors. The first floor is connected with The Asian Restaurant, I’m sorry I just realized that I didn’t capture that restaurant when I was there.
As I was so excited, I entered another room just next to it, just like a child, I opened my mouth wider because it was a lot of books inside of it and the spot was just right to take a picture.
Since it was a children’s book so I decided to capture some kids here, and I made it. Using my intermediate Korean language, I carefully asked a mother to capture her son, “Hello, can I take photos of your son? And she answered with a big, “Yes!” and smiled at her son and explained that I wanted to take a picture of him. The son ran right to the spot and pose a big smile. How can I not smile over that? Isn’t it so cute?
This place was so complete with everything. It even had a place for a nursery in which right next from the room I was. Of course with a lot of books, prepare for you to read.
My excitement did not end there. After I spent time in the first floor, I found there was connecting stairs to the second floor that holds much more than the first floor.
I realized there was a way into the second floor from the welcome painting wall. I think I was just too excited ’till I did not notice about it. Along the way there were many paintings you can enjoy.
So what is inside the second floor?
A very nice place to hang out with a great view to enjoy right in front of the Nami Gallery. I was so immersed with this space. I love how they created all the designs, simple yet has a tone and also books. There were a lot of spots to take photographs.
If in the first floor, there were many children’s books, but written in Korean, for those who couldn’t read Korean, do not worry because you got all the second floor which full of English books. That’s why it’s named “International Children’s library”.
It also has lots of educational toys. I definitely fall in love for everything in here.
If you love books as much as I do. If you are a bookworm, then this is a paradise for you.
There is a hanging cloth right in front the welcome painting wall you can spend time to loosen yourself, if you get tired from reading books.

See you in the Picture Book Library.
